At ten pin bowling why do people where wrist Supports?
At ten pin bowling why do people where wrist Supports? I bowl in a ten pin bowling league and im not to bad my average is 160. Ive seen people wearing half and full wrist Supports and im wondering why!

- Well what i think they are for is safety so that you don't flick your wrist too hard when curving and twist it or they are probably for fashion.
- Because they support the tendons in the wrist
- so that they can scratch their balls.......
- Some bowlers just purchase it because their favorite "professional bowler" is endorsing a specific one, some definitely have wrist problems and need the extra support and some just use them for show (they're the ones with a six ball bag, expensive shoes, "name brand" bowling shirt with their name on the back, performance bowling balls, $50+ value wrist support, but carries a 125 average on house conditions......). I use an Ebonite bowling glove under a bowling wrist support that looks like a long glove, velcro closures and solid metal piece where the wrist flexes, but still allows me to fully cup the ball for a comfortable release without straining my forearm and wrist. After bowling for over 26 years, I need something like that to be able to bowl properly and avoiding tendonitis, sprains or muscle strain.
